The collection is not my favorite and is not that oak… I can see the prints for AOK… but is it Jeremy Scott… there are some moments… you decide. I will leave the comments open to you… let us know!
A cool collection that I am sure you will be seeing more of. The look is quiet amazing, simple, clean…. There are some many simple dynamics here; Mandarin collars, white crosses, cool vans shoes…
A great take on the Men’s skirt/kilt which is woven leather in a great brownish-dark violet, and dark brown, almost black… The turtle neck shrugs are amazing, they have this amazing angular cap in the shoulder… And the jumpers are to die!!!!
Great colors, and the projected video was a great visual push!!!!
So yesterday while we were in 10 CORSO COMO (which is one of my favorite stores in Milano) trying to find some new personal pieces… we bumped into Jeremy Scott… a brief conversation led into the invite to his Adidas collaboration party here in Seoul… J.S. was on the ones and twos and the party was quiet fun!!!! Get it Jermey! And really the Zhane overlay!!! Ja’ Dore… GET IN!
Jehee Sheen collection was titled “Modesty”. which focused on the value of understanding life, and to not focus on the power of money, greed nor selfishness. To be aware that life is full circle.
The collection was quiet heavy in its colors, as we have noted in almost all previous shows… Black and Gray. We loved the thick ropes in the garments. The two notable pieces that really pushed the collection were the woven capes/shrugs… and a shirt that had elastic cords/ropes with little toggles….
oh and a cool approach on the masks… Very Dark.. we had a bad seat so we are limited as to what we filmed…
Inspired by Chiaroscuro it definitely was a mix of light and dark. The collection was a melange of grays, whites, pelts, zipped trims and zipped tails on the jackets… with an infusion of Heather gray, camel, and gold… it was definitely a bit soft glam… and very wearable…
Dominic’s Way by Song Hye Myung was a little theatrical… a really loose play on a modern version of the sophisticated korean punk/biker moment! The greatest thing in the show is the detailed leather trims and the cuts of the jackets. There are also glimpses of the boots in the video, which are a great new version of the studded boot… but hold on to the end!!! There is a dramatic studded gas mask… I think the house of GAGA is calling! get into the show… ladies and gents…
and please note that the seoul f/w loves smoke on the runway, hence the haze… and I am not a professional videographer, so we are hand held and getting you the looks as soon as we see them… Enjoy
After the 14 hour flight from NYC, we bring you Seoul Fashion Week. It has been a great first day, and we look forward to the rest of the shows. The first two days of Seoul FW are a focal on the men’s collections which are to be said the best of the SEOUL.. hmm!
junnn.j is an amazing, amazing designer… this visionary is one of the Asia’s most sought after and elite designers. Junn is a part of the Samsung Fashion and Design Fund… His collection launched as Juun J. in June 2007, to international acclaim… This presentation was quiet small and we were quiet gifted to see the collection up close and personal. Sitting front row, and trying to get the complete look was quiet a fete’….
We were a little exhausted at this point so the video is a wee shakey.
but please enjoy. The shoes are so over the top moon sandals, and the simplicity of the cuts and fabrics, with the drapping… I mean we just died. Enjoy, and look for more Juun J.
Carolyn Massey delivered a collection that was unembellished and straight forward. Simplified cuts, a cool color palaette… with the infusion of heathers, soft oyster beige, pinks and BLACK which always keeps us happy. We love the wearability, and of course the beige fishnet tight…. which comes and goes in this collection..
