SEOUL FASHION WEEK 10/11 (autumn) LINE OR CIRCLE collection

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

Inspired by Chiaroscuro it definitely was a mix of light and dark. The collection was a melange of grays, whites, pelts, zipped trims and zipped tails on the jackets… with an infusion of Heather gray, camel, and gold… it was definitely a bit soft glam… and very wearable…

SEOUL FASHION WEEK 10/11 (autumn) Dominic’s Way by Song Hye Myung

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Dominic’s Way by Song Hye Myung was a little theatrical… a really loose play on a modern version of the sophisticated korean punk/biker moment! The greatest thing in the show is the detailed leather trims and the cuts of the jackets. There are also glimpses of the boots in the video, which are a great new version of the studded boot… but hold on to the end!!! There is a dramatic studded gas mask… I think the house of GAGA is calling! get into the show… ladies and gents…

and please note that the seoul f/w loves smoke on the runway, hence the haze… and I am not a professional videographer, so we are hand held and getting you the looks as soon as we see them… Enjoy

Carolyn Massey… Fall 2010 London…

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

massey

Carolyn Massey delivered a collection that was unembellished and straight forward. Simplified cuts, a cool color palaette… with the infusion of heathers, soft oyster beige, pinks and BLACK which always keeps us happy. We love the wearability, and of course the beige fishnet tight…. which comes and goes in this collection..

boxed jumper short, with that fishnet we love.

Aitor Throup….the retrospective of 6 years of Genius. “Legs” at Galerie Jean-Luc & Takako Richard (PARIS)

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Throup, has been a favorite for a while. He has the ability to work on such a clean palate. While he continually is pushing the boundaries of design, architecture and function. Throup always creates such a progressive statement either with his brand or avec’ un collabration… Aitor Throup is genius….not to mention he is hot!

AITOR THROUP

Throup’s “LEGS” retrospective is amazingly refreshing. He has taken his brand and minute fragment of American History/Culture and concurrently fused this exhibit .

A.T. worked in some form of thermal-cotton mesh and molded it down into what appears to be male figurines… We see an array of expression, but, the most stand out is that of his trouser Hommage.

Throup mimics the physical gestures of a New Orleans traditional funeral processions (marching band), and replicates the garnered procession with fashion armor. While his collection of trousers prevails the 5 steps of intense shrinkage, when wool is exposed to water..?. Amazing! Keep on marching to the beat of your own drum!

Aquascutum Fall 2010 LONDON

Amazing tailoring and quiet a heavy color palette for Aquascutum.

The epic details are hard to catch, but, please take note of the amazing cut outs in the garments… amazing, amazing, amazing. This jumper below is so needed for FALL 2010!

Aminaka Wilmont Fall 2010 LONDON

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Aminaka Wilmount’s collection this season definitely gave us moments of interest, the prints were quiet interesting. The shoe was everything.

We found these 3 looks the most compelling. The hair was a great addition to the collection swept and full controlled movement, and the white squared acrylic nail. Ja’dore.
