So yesterday while we were in 10 CORSO COMO (which is one of my favorite stores in Milano) trying to find some new personal pieces… we bumped into Jeremy Scott… a brief conversation led into the invite to his Adidas collaboration party here in Seoul… J.S. was on the ones and twos and the party was quiet fun!!!! Get it Jermey! And really the Zhane overlay!!! Ja’ Dore… GET IN!

Jehee Sheen collection was titled “Modesty”. which focused on the value of understanding life, and to not focus on the power of money, greed nor selfishness. To be aware that life is full circle.
The collection was quiet heavy in its colors, as we have noted in almost all previous shows… Black and Gray. We loved the thick ropes in the garments. The two notable pieces that really pushed the collection were the woven capes/shrugs… and a shirt that had elastic cords/ropes with little toggles….
oh and a cool approach on the masks… Very Dark.. we had a bad seat
so we are limited as to what we filmed…
Seoul Fashion Week F/W 10/11 [Jehee Sheen] MODESTY from martin-christopher harper on Vimeo.
Carolyn Massey delivered a collection that was unembellished and straight forward. Simplified cuts, a cool color palaette… with the infusion of heathers, soft oyster beige, pinks and BLACK which always keeps us happy. We love the wearability, and of course the beige fishnet tight…. which comes and goes in this collection..
Throup, has been a favorite for a while. He has the ability to work on such a clean palate. While he continually is pushing the boundaries of design, architecture and function. Throup always creates such a progressive statement either with his brand or avec’ un collabration… Aitor Throup is genius….not to mention he is hot!
Throup’s “LEGS” retrospective is amazingly refreshing. He has taken his brand and minute fragment of American History/Culture and concurrently fused this exhibit .
A.T. worked in some form of thermal-cotton mesh and molded it down into what appears to be male figurines… We see an array of expression, but, the most stand out is that of his trouser Hommage.
Throup mimics the physical gestures of a New Orleans traditional funeral processions (marching band), and replicates the garnered procession with fashion armor. While his collection of trousers prevails the 5 steps of intense shrinkage, when wool is exposed to water..?. Amazing! Keep on marching to the beat of your own drum!
